Royal Station
Sofia, Bulgaria
About this Project:
A small railway station, with an almost forgotten past, is standing alone next to the tracks. Once pretty and functional, with gold like facades and beautiful decoration the station was the private station for the Bulgarian monarchy in the first half of the 20th century.
The building has welcomed an array of notable figures, including emperors and kings such as George V and Edward VIII of Britain, Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany, and King Charles II of Romania. Other distinguished guests included Ottoman Crown Prince Yusuf Izedin, Italian Queen Helena, and Grand Duke Alexander Mikhailovich of Russia.
Nowadays, the place is almost unrecognizable. The time was harsh for the building. That is why we chose to preserve it digitally before the present memory for this time faded completely.
